When I arrived in the Shuswap from Vancouver in 2004, I was welcomed warmly by a group of yoga students. That one class grew to 7 classes a week, with differing levels from the most gentle to more invigorating
I love how yoga has brought many people to a better understanding of themselves. I hear many stories of major and minor changes that have occurred from doing this wonderful practise.
And you don’t have to be flexible to do yoga.
I am very grateful to all those in this area who have supported me by attending classes and referring their friends, family, and colleagues. Thank you and keep breathing!
Teaching yoga is a privilege and a joy. I continue to learn and grow as a teacher and pass this knowledge to the people in my classes. Modifying poses allows yoga to be accessible to anyone, regardless of age, flexibility, balance, or strength. It can seem like a slow process, but with continued practice people notice big and small changes in their bodies, and in their general outlook on life.
My classes are based on alignment of the physical, mental, emotional and energy bodies which help us contact our essence as a human being
Thank you all in the Salmon Arm/Shuswap area for continuing to support the art and science of yoga.
Her background in counselling, teaching, and her long time meditation practice has added to her ability to understand many facets of life.
